SPC Striving for Energy Saving, Less Emission
SPC has hit its targets in energy saving and emission reduction this year. Meanwhile, 15 energy saving projects are under way as planned.
Compared with the planned targets, SPC has reached 34 targets out of the 37 targets for major devices' comprehensive energy consumption from January to September 2009, with the success rate up to 91.9%, or 51.4% in terms of the advancement rate with 16 targets at the high-levels by China Petrochemical Corporation and 3 at the previous lines. Compared with those in 2008, 4 out of 37 targets of comprehensive energy consumption have risen, 30 have dropped and 3 have remained the previous lines, with the improvement rate up to 89.2%.
Thanks to its efforts over the past three years, SPC has reached its targets as scheduled in comprehensive energy consumption for RMB10,000 gross production, energy saving amount, comprehensive energy consumption of oil refining, comprehensive energy consumption of ethylene, energy consumption of the Thermal Power Division's power supply and total energy consumption for the "Eleventh Five-year Plan".
